- 大相撲夏場所７日目、三段目の取組中に“男性のシンボル”が露出するとい
うハプニングが起こった。東56枚目の朝ノ霧＝若松部屋＝が千代白鵬＝九重＝
との一番で股間を覆っている前袋が外れてしまったもの。勝負規定16条により
朝ノ霧は反則負けとなった。本場所の公式な取組では1917年(大６)夏の十両・
男島以来、83年ぶりの“珍事”となった。
